FasteningIn rack cases and rack servers the rack strip is tapped to receive threaded bolts. It is these bolts that hold equipment to the racks. Commonly cages nuts, bolts and washers are used to hold everything tightly in place such as the standard pack Pro Audio Stash stocks.
The type of screws used on a rack are dependant on the tapped hole. In the USA imperial rack rail is the common rack rail used for 19 inch racks. Imperial rack rail requires rack mount M5 screws and fasteners. In Europe the full hole rack rail is more common. Rack rail in Europe is also referred to a rack strip and uses M6 screws. |
